About Park Avenue Reflections

Reflections is a National PTA cultural arts program that allows children to pursue their creativity and interest in the arts.  Each year the children are prompted to create art using a theme.  This year’s theme is “Believe, Dream, Inspire”.  Participating in the Reflections Program is a fantastic way for students to explore and learn about various art forms.  This program is for ALL students regardless of their artistic talent!  Students are encouraged to create and submit works of art in one or all of the following categories:

  • dance choreography
  • film production
  • literature
  • musical composition
  • photography
  • visual arts
  • special artist

A local panel of judges will review the works in each category in November.  A Reflections Fair will be held for the district entries in January.  The artwork will be displayed in the Albert Wisner Library Gallery.  Any art work that is advanced will go onto the Mid-Hudson PTA Division, any winners from there will go to the New York State level, and from there, national.
